One of Affinity Education Leaders Playing in AFC Cup Wednesday

It will be a busy Wednesday evening for Hong Kong football fans as several matches involving clubs from Hong Kong will take place in the region.
South China will host XM Vissai Ninh Binh (VIE) from Vietnam in an AFC Cup Group G fixture. The match will take place in the Hong Kong Stadium and kick-off time will be at 8:00pm.
South China possesses a squad full of Hong Kong internationals and most of the players are familiar with what it takes to succeed in the AFC Cup. While chasing for the domestic league title remains a long-shot for the storied Hong Kong representative, the club will be going all out to redeem themselves in the AFC Cup tournament.
Midfielder Michael Luk knows his team will be ready to kick-start this year’s AFC Cup campaign in a positive manner. “We came off the AFC Champions League qualifier in a disappointment but I can assure you that we will be ready for the AFC Cup on Wednesday evening,” said the Hong Kong international. “We have a lot of experienced and quality players in our squad and I believe we will do just fine. Of course we will like to get off to a winning start in the AFC Cup and I think we can do that.”
Kitchee, another Hong Kong side in this year’s AFC Cup, will also kick-off their AFC Cup odyssey by visiting Singaporean side Tampines Rovers (SIN) in a Group H fixture.
Kitchee has been pacing the Hong Kong first division circuit for the better part of the current season and is a very balanced side with great depth. Striker Jorge Tarres has proven himself in last year’s AFC Cup campaign and the side will look to the Spanish veteran to provide firepower in their tilt against their Singaporean host.
For the football lovers who are looking for an alternative action, Yokohama FC (HK) will play host to Sun Pegasus on Wednesday evening in Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground. Kick-off time will be at 8:00pm.
Yokohama FC (HK) just came off a commanding victory against BC Rangers on Sunday evening. It will be interesting to see whether the players can handle two physically demanding matches in a four-day span.
Sun Pegasus achieved a dramatic last-minute tie against South China last weekend and the draw would have likely boosted the morale of the slumping squad.  Without a doubt, the attacking-minded team will be out for blood when they visit Yokohama FC (HK) on Wednesday evening.
